Fifteen nominations have been received for four open positions on the Planning Commission.
Lacking a quorum on Monday night, the commission has called a special meeting for 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 to consider nominations.
Current commissioners will submit names of nominees to the City Council and the Council will make its choices by Dec. 13.
The new term of commissioners will begin Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Also at the special meeting on Dec. 5, the commission will hold a public hearing for a request for a retail business in a quiet office zone.
Jennifer Nichols has applied for a conditional use permit to allow a gift shop in a house that has been converted to office space at 2405 Prince St., on the south side of Prince between Farris Road and Donaghey Avenue.
