Jean “Jeannie” Corbitt, a senior at Conway High School West, is a National Merit Semifinalist and AP Scholar with Distinction with a 4.24 GPA. She’s a four-time national qualifier for National History Day, including winning District and State competitions and finishing 2nd in the nation in 2009.

She was one of 25 students chosen nationally for a Duke University Field Studies Institute last summer that included law study at Duke and a trip to the Netherlands to visit the courts of international law.
Corbitt’s teachers say she’s a leader in the classroom who has helped bring national recognition to her school and to Arkansas.

Corbitt is also a four-time All-Region Band selection and is involved in Model UN, National Honor Society, National Beta Club, National Spanish Honorary Society and is highly involved in church and community activities.
At First Presbyterian Church, Corbitt is a member of the Youth Group and Youth Choir, volunteers, and is the first youth to be elected by the congregation to serve on the Officer Nominating Committee.

She is the daughter of Peg and Doug Corbitt.

The Conway branch of Bank of Little Rock Mortgage (BLRM) presents Real Proud of Real Wampus Cats award winners with honorary plaques and donates $100 in their names to the Conway Public Schools Foundation – totaling more than $1,500 in 2011.
