While most people were recovering from too much turkey on Sunday night and preparing to get back to work Monday, someone was helping themselves to the contents of various vehicles parked outside homes on the north side of the city near Meadowlake Road.

Officials with the Conway Police Department are investigating several vehicle break-ins from streets in the area to determine if they are connected.

According to La Tresha Woodruff, public information officer for the department, vehicles parked on Morse Drive, Krystal Kreek Drive and Remington Road were vandalized and investigators are trying to determine if the incidents are linked.

"The incidents occurred in the same area and the vehicles appear to have been vandalized in the same way, but investigators have not yet determined if it was the same suspects in all of the incidents," Woodruff said.

In reports from the incidents, the investigating officers noted that it appeared as though the suspect(s) used a brick or a large rock to break the window and gain access to the vehicles. Although vehicles that remained unlocked also had items taken from them, they were not damaged.

Among items taken were cell phones and victim’s credit/debit cards as well as any cash and personal identification.

One woman heard a loud noise outside of her home and when she went to investigate she saw a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with "rough" facial hair fleeing from her vehicle. The woman also told the officers that the suspect had on a dark hoodie sweatshirt.

Anyone with information as to the suspect’s identity is asked to contact investigators with the police department at 450-6130 or text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) using keyword "Conway".
