Disorderly conduct, 2600 block of Bruce St.
Officers were dispatched to the area when someone called to report that they had heard shots fired. When they arrived in the area, they saw a man standing outside and stopped to ask him if he had heard the shots. The man stated that he had not. The officers noted that the man’s speech was slurred and he was difficult to understand. The man then stated that he was upset at the street light and when the officers asked him to repeat himself, he pointed to a rifle in the bushes. The officers found several rounds of ammunition in the man’s pocket. He admitted to shooting at the light, but being unable to hit it. He also admitted to drinking heavily. He was transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center for processing because he had an outstanding warrant. The officer’s took possession of the weapon and the rounds.
