A Conway woman returned to her home at 710 block of 3rd Avenue after working two jobs over a 24-hour period last week to discover nearly everything missing from the residence.
The woman said she left for work around 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday and upon returning around 5 a.m. the next day, she discovered that someone had been in her home when she noticed that her mattresses had been moved from her bedroom to the living room.
Also missing from her home was a large decorative plate, dishes, wine and cocktail glasses, her queen-sized bed frame and headboard and footboard, a 48” flatscreen television and ConwayCorp cable box, several purses and pieces of clothing, and five bins of clothing.
There were no signs of forced entry and officers were unable to lift fingerprints or locate any physical evidence that could indicate who had broken into her home.
The woman told officers she only knows a few people in the area and she “does not suspect any of them would be capable of stealing from her.”
The woman said the only two keys to the residence are in possession by herself and her sister.
The woman could not find a serial number for the television or the ConwayCorp cable box, so nothing was entered into ACIC as “stolen” at the time the report was made.
