PM update:

Conway police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who entered Fred's on Oak Street midday Thursday and stole prescription medicine and cash.


According to Conway Police Department spokeswoman La Tresha Woodruff, the suspect held the pharmacist at gunpoint.


The department did not disclose the amount of money that was stolen.


Dispatch told police over radio that a caller stated the suspect "cocked the gun and threatened to blow their heads off."


Officers searched the area for the suspect, who left the store on foot, but police did not have anyone in custody as of press time Thursday.


The department describes the suspect as a white male, medium build with a close-shaven mustache and beard.


A witness told police that the man appeared to be in this thirties.


Woodruff said anyone with information on the man's identity should call the department at 450-6120.

According to police radio traffic, an armed robbery occurred at about noon Thursday at Fred's on Oak Street in Conway.


Emergency communication indicated that Conway police were in pursuit of a suspect on foot who was spotted near Wendy's, just yards from the store.


The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, and as wearing a hat and khaki shorts.


La Tresha Woodruff, public information officer for the Conway Police Department, confirmed that police did not have anyone in custody at 12:15 p.m.
