The Worldwide Mom’s Day of Prayer will be taking place Saturday, Jan. 19 at CenterPoint Church on 1010 Hogan Lane. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. Those wishing to take part can come an hour at a time or attend during the entire time.

31 states throughout the nation will be hosting a Mom’s Day of Prayer, which is described as a time to "blanket our nation in prayer."

Officials involved with the local event say that prayer is needed. "Our children, from babies to adult children, are in great need of prayer," officials stated in a release. "They are facing much more difficult times than we’ve encountered."
