VILONIA — Scott Bennett, director of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, will be the scheduled speaker at the Vilonia Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet, which will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23.

Bennett is anticipated to address the subject of growth and infrastructure in regard to the city, according to organizers.

"I think a lot of people will want to hear what he has to say. He will address something that everyone will want to know about," said Jill Bonnema, Chamber of Commerce executive officer. "He will talk about growth and infrastructure around Vilonia and how it will impact us over the coming years."

Tickets to the event will be available at $25 each beginning Friday, Bonnema said. Also a variety of sponsorships are available, she added, including: Platinum: $1,500 which includes two reserved tables — 16 seats, logo on all printed tickets, large logo in program and 2013 membership; Gold: $1,000, includes two reserved tables — 16 seats, large logo in program, and 2013 membership; Silver: $500 and includes one reserved table — 8 seats, medium logo in program and 2013 membership and Bronze: $250 and includes one reserved table — 8 seats, and small logo in program. The cost to a "Table Sponsor" is $175 and it includes one reserved table — 8 seats and listing on the back of the program.

The chamber is also currently accepting nominations for award recipients to be given that night including Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, Non Profit of the Year, School Employee of the Year, City Employee of the Year, Youth of the Year.
