Conway City Councilmen Shelley Mehl and Wes Pruitt held a meeting on Wednesday to ask Ward 2 residents what street projects were most needed.

Finishing the intersection of Lower Ridge Road and Highway 65 came up a couple times at the meeting, and City Engineer Ronnie Hall said the project to raise Lower Ridge Road at the intersection and build a left turn lane should be finished early next year. Also, finishing Washington Street projects and building a sidewalk on Tyler Street to access the Faulkner County Library were discussed.

Ward 2 councilmen have held at least one meeting per year for the past seven years, Mehl said. Also at the meeting were Deputy Director of Planning Wes Craiglow and former Ward 2 councilman Mark Vaught.
