Zaydin Elton Farr, died June 14, 2009, at Conway Regional Health System. He is survived by his parents, Elton D. Farr and Jasmine L. Brockman; grandparents, Jeffrey Brockman and wife, Juaniki; Rebecca Moore; Elton Farr and wife Janice, all of Conway.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with Frank Brockman officiating. Services are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.

John Thomas Heflin

John Thomas Heflin, 78, of Vilonia died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Vilonia, surrounded by his family.

He was born April 21, 1931, in Atkins and was the son of the late Roy and Floy Duvall Heflin and was preceded in death by his son: Roy J. Heflin.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Heflin of Russellville, daughters and sons-in-law; Darlene and Ronnie Jones of Vilonia, Betty Heflin of Atkins, son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Carolyn Heflin of Atkins, stepson, Douglas Nuckolls of Atkins, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, brother, Ray Heflin of Atkins, sister, Sue Turner of Perryville.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lemley Funeral Chapel, the Rev. J.W. Heflin and Rev. Robert Heflin officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial is at Shady Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Duvall, Paul Ray Heflin, Josh Heflin, Carl D. Duvall, Henry Story, Jerry Pearson. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Duvall, Jim Fryer, J.L. Duvall, Jerry Fred Chronister, Curley Blaggs and Herman Walker.

Mary Elizabeth Pledger

Mary Elizabeth Pledger, 75, of Conway passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Born in Moro on April 27, 1934, she was a daughter to the late Russell and Ella Mae (Cross) Hubbard.

Mary was a homemaker and had worked in food service with the Brinkley Elementary School. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Newport.

Her husband Octie Pledger, three sisters, Marie Hubbard, Maxine Nichols and Shirley Story and a brother Victor Hubbard preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two daughters, Bettie Billings of Conway and Beulah McCommon and husband Jac of Pine Bluff; a step-son Johnny Pledger; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller McNutt Funeral Chapel in Conway.

Judy L. Strope

Judy L. Strope, 70, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Monday, June 15 at Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1939 in Kokomo, Ind.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Cornwell of Las Vegas, Nev.; son, Michael Strope of Greenbrier; a sister, Alice Hoskins of Kokomo, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A private memorial service will be held.
