Ruth King, 81, of Conway passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010. She was born on Saturday, Sept. 29, 1928, in Bee Branch, Ark., to the late Ellis Thurman and Edith Melinda (Scott) Kersey.

Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an animal lover especially her pet, JoJo, her two grandogs and her two grancats. She graduated from Southside High School as valedictorian of her class. She retired from Conway Human Development Center as a shift coordinator after 23 years of service.

She is survived by her son, Roy and Michele King; daughter, Kathy Sigler; four grandchildren, Vanessa and Richard Lynch, Michael and Sarah Sigler, Matthew King and Michael Runfola; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, Logan Mitchell and Leighton Grace Lynch; and a sister-in-law, Jerita Kersey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grother, Edwin Kersey.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with the Rev. Steve McMillan officiating. Entombment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Eddie Kersey, Ricky Kersey, Albert “Junior” Kersey, Charles Scott, Bill King and Jim Ulmer serving as pallbearers. Danny Holt, Shane Mason, Jean Spotts and Richard Lynch will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
