Albert Alvin Owen, 85, of Conway, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.  

He was born June 15, 1925, in Redfield, a son of the late Joe M. and  Charity (Croy) Owen. 

Mr. Owen was a 32nd Degree Mason for over 50 years.  

He was retired from the United States Navy, where he was a  Master Chief in the submarine service; having served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars. 

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Jeanette Owen; children, Michael A. Owen and wife Sherry, Val George and Ted Owen, all of Conway; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Ashley, Annie Taylor and Myrtle Porter all of Orin.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, with Ty Owen officiating.  

Burial, with Masonic and Military honors, will follow at 2 p.m. in Orion Cemetery under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, 501-327-7727.  

Mr. Owen will lie in state on Friday, from noon until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
