James "Jim" Allen Moss departed this life on Aug. 9, 2010 at the age of 73.
He was born and raised in Chicago, preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Alice Moss.
Mr. Moss served our country in both the Army and Air Force.
After working the copper mines in Arizona and a brief return to Illinois, Mr. Moss relocated to the Mountain Home area in 2000, where he enjoyed fishing on the White River, clay target shooting and spending time with friends — especially his lifelong friend Bill Howell.
Jim was a member of the National Rifle Association and the unofficial "Mountain Home Breakfast Club."
Conway Healthcare and Rehab Center became Jim’s home in October of 2007, where he enjoyed the outdoors, leisurely strolls, playing horseshoes and spending time with his neighbors.
The staff became his loving family who affectionately referred to him as Pookie.
He will forever live in our hearts.
