William Jacob "Jake" Pruett, 26, of Greenbrier, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010. Born in Little Rock, he was a son to William and Shelia (Smith) Pruett. Jake was a loving son, husband, brother and friend. He was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He graduated from Baptist Health with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked at Arkansas Heart Hospital and in the Emergency Room at Conway Regional Medical Center. Jake enjoyed all types of hunting, but especially loved duck hunting and working out at the gym and lifting weights.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence Pruett, Raymond Smith and Florence Smith Hoover.

Survivors include his previously mentioned parents; his wife Nikki (Gates) Pruett; a brother Sage Pruett; grandmother Letha Johnson Pruett and an uncle Rick Pruett and wife Cindy.

Services, under the direction of Roller-McNutt funeral home, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church at 767 Rocky Point Road in Conway, with Pastor Ken Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Beryl Cemetery with Chad Pruett, Benji Sisson, Levi Hatcher, Nathan Clifton, Josh Clayton, John "Opie" Cartwright and Caleb Welch serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan McNespey, Michael Henry, Josh Davis, Jacob Simon, Brooke Robertson, Raymond Styers and Josh Cannedy.  

Visitation will be held at the church from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
