Myrna Parke Latham was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Kinross, Ia., to Jesse and Grace Shafer Parke and died on Dec. 21, 2010, in Conway at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul L. Latham; grandson, Paul M. Latham; brother, Earl Parke; and step-daughter, Karin Blair.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Rowell (husband Monty Rowell); sons, Robert Latham and Roy Latham (wife Chris Latham); grandchildren, Allison Latham, Thomas Latham, Jesse Latham, Kira Latham, Angela Smith (husband Karl Smith), Brandon Rowell and Ann Blair Yedidia (husband Jonathan Yedidia); great-grandsons, Adam and Zachary Yedidia; step-son-in-law, John Blair; and sister-in-law, Joyce Parke. She is also survived by especially devoted lifelong friends, Eleanor Moore, Jane Coons and Judy Chlumsky.
A 1942 graduate of Coe College, she was employed as an Investment Analyst at Continental National Assurance in Chicago from 1942 to 1957 and as business manager of the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program in Conway from 1977 to 1995. She was passionate about her family, friends and the Chicago Cubs. She will be greatly missed.
A family graveside service will be held in Battle Creek, Mich., at a later date in accordance with her wishes.
