Leslie Combs, 81, of Conway, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19.  

He was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Bakersfield, Calif., to the late Edgar and Ferrol (Heard) Combs.  

He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Leslie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean conflict. He worked as a computer analyst for over 30 years. He grew up a rancher in southern California and turned his experiences into a book titled "Loose Ends." Leslie enjoyed fly fishing and was an avid backpacker in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He was a cherished father and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy; one son, Martin Edgar Combs and wife Laurie of Massillon, Ohio; two daughters, Pamela Ann Clover of Washington, Mo., and Rebecca Kinworthy and husband William of Conway; one sister, Myrtis Hawthorne of Conway; four grandchildren, J.D. Clover, Nancy Brzctowski, and Sierra and Christopher Kinworthy; and two great-grandchildren, Caden and Brynn Brzctowski.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church on Hogan Lane in Conway with Andy Patterson officiating.
