J.W. Coker, 83, of Conway passed away Saturday Jan. 22 at Conway Regional Health System. He was born Jan. 16, 1928 in the Liberty Community, Ark., to the late Otis C. and Deleta (Williams) Coker. Mr. Coker was also preceded in death by one brother, Ray Coker.
He was a God-fearing cattle farmer, cross country truck driver, carrier employee and a member of the Civil Defense in the 1960s. Mr. Coker was a very kind and honest man. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elene (Small) Coker; one son, Gail Coker and wife Vonna; two daughters, Vickie James and husband Larry, Suzie Pratt and husband Bob, all of Conway, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial following at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren, James Coker, Teresa Dickenson, Lisa Murdock, John James, Nikki Baker, and Chelsa Pratt. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Coker, Hayden James, and Stephenie Dickenson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
