Truman Manuel Lacewell, 91, of Mount Vernon passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2011. He was born Friday, Sept. 12, 1919 in Mount Vernon to the late Robert Lee and Estella (Malcom) Lacewell.
Mr. Lacewell was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ. He was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Lacewell and wife Ann, and Eddie Lacewell and wife Debbie; daughter, Joy Lynn Robertson; four grandchildren, Tanya Lynn Taylor, Michael Lacewell, Leland Schumacher and Danielle Morrow; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Robbie and Bill Keyser; and three brothers, Hardy Lacewell, Houston Lacewell and wife Nell, and Alex Lacewell and wife Sharon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lorene (Starr) Lacewell; and infant son, Gary Lacewell.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Brother Mike Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery with Michael Lacewell, Leland Schumacher, Rodney Taylor, Bart Ussery, Shane Keathley and Jason Ussery, serving as pallbearers. Corbett Garrett and Brian Ussery will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
