After Vilonia and Greenbrier triumphed in their season-openers in the rain Thursday night, three Conway teams won games Friday night that were halted early because of lightning and remnants of Tropical Storm Isaac.
Conway defeated Bryant, 21-3, in a game that was called after a 30-minute delay after lightning moved into the Bryant area in the first minute of the fourth quarter.
Mayflower romped past Dumas, 41-13, in a game that was called with 6:06 remaining in the game at Mayflower.
Conway Christian scored nine points in the third quarter and took a 23-12 win over Episcopal Collegiate in a game that was halted, and ultimately called, with 36 seconds left in the third quarter.
