Conway High’s volleyball team ran its record to 5-1 Tuesday with a 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-10 victory over Bryant.

Jada Benton led the Lady Cats with 13 kills and three blocks. Abby Mann added 26 digs and Bailey McKee had 38 assists.

Conway (3-0) won the JV game, 25-12, 25-11. McKenna Arnold had six digs. Sara Nethercutt had three aces and 10 assists. Allison Weatherly had six kills and Sarah Thjomas five. McKee had 11 assists.

The Lady Cats begin conference play Thursday at Russellville.

LITLE ROCK — Conway’s boys prevailed in a three-team golf match Tuesday at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

The Wampus Cats combined for a 152 in the 18-hole match. Cabot was second at 152 and Russellville third at 173.

Chase Netherton fired a 1-over 36 to lead the Cats. Lincoln Hill came in at 37 while Carson Roberts had a 38. Tanner Bezet and Parker Rice fired 39s while Austin Smith came in at 43.

RUSSELLVILLE — Greenbrier’s tennis teams got two victories and two splits Tuesday in 5A-West tennis matches at Arkansas Tech University.

Greenbrier Girls Tennis team defeated Clarksville 4-0  and  split with Shiloh Christian 2-2

Greenbrier Boys Tennis team defeated Clarksville 4-0 and lost split with Shiloh Christian 2-2

Junstin Alexander won a singles match vs. Clarksville, 8-5, and lost against Shiloh Christian Seth Thompson won singles match vs. Clarksville, 8-3, and vs. Shiloh, 8-3 Charli Short won a singles match vs. Clarksville, 8-2, and vs. Shiloh, 8-2. Emily Bekins won singles match vs. Clarksville 8-1 and vs. Shiloh, 8-3

Jackson Hedrick and Billy Huggins won a doubles match vs. Clarksville, 8-6, and lost vs. Shiloh. Tyler Williams and Brayden Fisher won a doubles match vs. Clarksville, 8-3. Williams and Betts won a doubles match vs. Shiloh, 8-6. Taylor Avery and Sara Hoopchuk won in doubles against Clarksville 8-4 and lost vs. Shiloh Paige Weaver and Hanna Acre won a doubles match vs. Clarksville 8-2 and lost vs. Shiloh

Coach Brad Bangs said Thursday’s match against Morrilton has been moved to Vilonia. 

Conway Christian opened conference volleyball play with a come-from-behind, 21-25, 21-25, 25-13, 25-10, 15-8 victory ofverRoses Bud.

Payton Cope had five aces, two digs and 27 assists while Morgan May added four ages, two digs, nine kills and four blocks. Andrea Howell had five kills and four blocks. Jordan Williams added three digs, four kills and two blocks. Landry May had eight aces, four digs and two blocks. Olivia Meriweather had one aces, five digs, 13 kills and one blocks. Emily Hill had an ace, 10 digs and two kills while Marissa Payne had two digs.

"It was a great game to start conference play," said CCS coach Suzanne Feimster.

The Lady Eagles continue conference play at 4 p.m. Thursday against Nemo Vista.
