The Conway senior boys track team, led by senior Toler Freyaldenhoven, won its first outdoor meet of the season, besting a field of 31 at the Hornet Relays at Bryant on Tuesday.

Freyaldenhoven won the 1500 and the 800 meters. He also anchored the 4x800 relay to victory and the 4x400 relay to second place.

Also placing individually were Austin Norris, Zack Mills, Xavier Hicks, Jeron Jackson, Jonah Willis, Kevon Holder, Ryan McKenna, Trey Delph and Caleb Vines.

The Conway girls also won their division, making it a sweep.


At Oxford, Miss., Ole Miss (22-5) took advantage of University of Central Arkansas mistakes for four unearned runs Tuesday night in a 7-0 softball victory.

ivaun Landeros (9-6) took the loss for the Bears (16-9), allowing six runs, three earned, on seven hits while striking out four in four innings of work. Nicole Fullilove worked the final two frames for the Bears, allowing just one hit.

UCA returns to Southland Conferencer play this weekend, heading to Nacogdoches, Texas for a three-game set against Stephen F. Austin.


At Warrior Field on Tuesdy, the Hendrix College softball team swept both games of a double-header from University of the Ozarks.

The Warriors (9-10) took the first game 8-2, then defeated the Eagles (5-9) 8-0 in five innings in the nightcap.

Hendrix’s Dasha Donohoe threw her first career shutout in the second game, allowing two hits and walking two over five innings.

Shelby Anderson’s two triples made her the Hendrix career leader with 13, breaking Katherine Womack’s old record of 12 set from 2004-07. She also became the third Warrior in school to reach 100 RBI for her career.

Victoria Hughes went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a steal in game one. She had another hit and two runs scored in game two. Karli Sewell drove in two runs in the first game and another one in the nightcap. Bharne went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, a double and a RBI in game two.


At John McConnell Stadium, Conway soccer teams won three times, all shutouts, Tuesday night against Jonesboro.

Conway won the girls game, 3-0. The Wampus Cats won, 8-0. The JV boys won, 1-0.


Greenbrier and Vilonia soccer teams traded 1-0 victories Tuesday night.

Greenbrier won the girls game, 1-0. Vilonia took the boys game, 1-0.

The Greenbrier baseball team split a doubleheader against Morrilton. The Lady Panthers softball team swept a doubleheader from Morrilton.
