The Hendrix College baseball team defeated the University of the Ozarks, 11-3, at Warrior Field Wednesday night.

The Warriors (10-9) outhit the Eagles (7-8), 14-8, in the game.

Matthew Lillard went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Justin Robison was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a pair of RBI, a double and a sac fly.

Tanner Cooper went 2-for-4 with three runs scored to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. JR McAuley scored twice and had a double, a RBI and a steal.

Hendrix will return to conference play with a home doubleheader against Oglethorpe Saturday.


MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men’s lacrosse team opened Southern Athletic Association play with a 10-5 loss at Rhodes College Wednesday night.

The host Lynx (8-1, 1-0) jumped out a 5-0 lead in the first quarter. The Warriors fell to 4-6, 0-1.


Mayflower managed only four hits Wednesday but took advantage of walks and four errors on the way to a 20-0, three-inning softball victory over St. Joseph.

The Lady Eagles scored 11 runs in the first and nine in the second and limited St. Joseph to three hits. Erin Sterka had two hits and Tillar Lewis one for the Lady Bulldogs.

"Our outfield is very young and oour infield has some veterans. We are still struggling to come together," said St. Joseph coach Debra Wilhite. "Young players take time to develop but we are working hard. We need more game time as a team. I believe at the end of the year, we will be a much changed-for-the-better team."


The Hendrix College men’s tennis team lost, 8-1, to Texas Lutheran University at home Wednesday evening.

The visiting Bulldogs (6-5) swept through doubles. Karthik Garimella picked up the only points for the Warriors (4-5).
