The Aquakids achieved 82 personal bests by 37 swimmers at the 2016 Short Course State Swim Championships in Little Rock.

Brooklyn Anderson placed fourth in overall points with 37, Gavin Blaylock placed seventh in his division with 25 points, Adrienne Robinson placed sixth with 27 points, Aaron Rieth placed fifth in his division with 31 points and AJ Maniord placed 10th with 18 points.

Top 10 high-Ppint Awards for boys 10U went to Jacob Robinson, eigthth with 11 points and Charlie Meek, ninth with six points.

Several Aquakids finished in the top three for their events: Anderson placed second in the 200 backstroke, 200 IM and 200 fly and third in the 500 free and 100 back, Robinson also placed second in the 500 free and 200 fly. Third-place finishes were won by Mainord, 200 fly, Ethan Marotte, 200 fly; Rieth, 400 IM, 500 free, and 200 back; 10U boys 200 free relay (Tripathi, Meek, Robinson, and Karekar), and the 11-12 Boys 200 freestyle relay (Mosby, Petersen, Winningham, and Blaylock.)

Rieth got a "AAAA" time and a NCSA Junior National cut in the 400 IM and is currently ranked 53rd in the country. He also made NCSA Junior National bonus cuts in the 200 free and 200 back.

Three swimmers were zone qualifiers: Anderson 200 back and 200 IM; Ethan Marotte 50 free; and Adrienne Robinson 50 free, 100 free and 500 free.

Team records were set by Anderson in the 200 back, Mainord in the 50 breast, 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 fly, and Rieth in the 400 IM.

Many swimmers made the finals or the top 8: the 10U nder girls 200 medley relay (Parker, Deshpande, Moss, Murdock); Neel Patel 400 IM; Samantha West 50 free and 200 free; Jacob Robinson 200 IM, 100 free, 50 fly, and 50 back; Brooklyn Anderson 100 breast; Cordelia Noyes 100 back; 11-12 girls 200 free and 200 medley relay (Noyes, Anderson, East, West).

Also, Bailey Roscoe 200 free, 400 IM, 200 back, and 200 fly; Emily Holman 100 breast and 200 breast; Sara Holman 200 fly; 13-14 Girls 200 free and 200 medley relay (S. Holman, E. It was the first time at state for several Aquakids: Jeff Bloomfield, Tanaya Deshpande, Julia Gaffney, Anna Kathleen Harris, Jordan Jones, Arnav Karekar, Mallory Moss, Miriam Parker, and Jameson Tankeresley.
