Mount Vernon-Enola golfers finished first and second in the 5A district golf tournament Monday at Cypress Creek Country Club at Cabot.
The MV-Enola boys fired a 297 for the title. Sacred Heart was second at 323.
The Warhawks’ Logan Adcock was boys medalist with a 94.
The MV-Enola girls finished second at 411, 10 strokes behind Maumelle Charter School. Sacred Heart was third at 412.
Hendrix women’s soccer
The Hendrix College women’s soccer team winning streak ended at three games with a 3-1 loss to NCAA Division II member Oklahoma Baptist University at Warrior Field on Monday night.
The Warriors (6-2) got on the board 3:40 into the game when sophomore Evie Cannon’s pass was deflected into the net off a Lady Bison (3-1) defender’s foot for an own goal. OBU scored in the 14th and 20th minutes to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The game remained 2-1 until Ruth King scored for the second time in the 74th minute, giving the Lady Bison the 3-1 win.
Ruth Doyle volleyball
The Ruth Doyle seventh-grade girls volleyball team defeated Little Rock Christian on Monday, 25-14, 25-13.
Madison Holloway led with four aces and a kill, while Kennedy Wyrick added two aces and a kill.
