Conway’s volleyball team defeated Mount St. Mary’s Belles, 25-18, 25-10, 25-16 volleyball victory Tuesday.
Anna Lee Drenna had 16 kills for the Lady Cats (16-4, 5-2). Aryn Blumenberg had 38 assists and Hailey Weber added three aces and five digs.
Conway (9-0, 6-0) won the JV match, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.
Satera Scott had four kills. Blaklee Scott had two aces and 10 digs. Karli Ferguson added two blocks.
St. Joseph volleyball
At Rose Bud, St. Joseph’s volleyball team (7-5, 3-2) defeated Rose Bud, 25-16, 25-16, 25-6 Tuesday night.
Brianna Wells led the Lady Bulldogs with five kills. Rachel Prall was 13 of 14 on serves. Chloe Detten had three aces and Abby McKenna had 15 assists. Emily Flake had four blocks.
St. Joseph won the JV game, 25-10, 25-21.
"Good start to the week, but we need to finish the week even better," said coach Luke Davis.
CHOUDRANT, La. — The University of Central Arkansas, led by sophomore Luis Obiols, finished as runnerup Tuesday at the Louisiana Tech Jim Rivers Intercollegiate played at Squire Creek Country Club.
UCA shot rounds of 286-288-287 for a 3-under total of 861, trailing only Louisiana-Monroe (857). Obiols, from Dusseldorf, Germany, finished second overall with rounds of 72-69-70 for a career-low 5-under 211. Sophomore Lewis George was third, shooting 72-70-71 for a 3-under 213, also a career-low round at UCA. Both were named to the all-tournament team.
Junior Louis Tomlinson shot 73-75-68 for an even-par 216 and tied for sixth place. His 68 tied for low round of the day on Tuesday. Sophomore Alvaro Carol shot 69-74-78-221 and tied for 29th place, while sophomore Mason Keller shot 82-78-79-39 and finished 70th.
Lamar finished third at 864, followed by Southern Miss (872), Houston Baptist (874), Southeastern Louisiana (881), Louisiana Tech (885), Western Kentucky (885), Missouri State (887), Stephen F. Austin (889), Incarnate Word (898), Abilene Christian (903) and New Orleans (922).
