The Conway Christian volleyball team defeated Central Arkansas Christian, 3-2, Wednesday to go to 12-1, 8-1 in conference.

Madelyn Black led the team in kills with 18. Adrianna Ferrand had seven aces and three blocks.

Katie Dather had 14 kills and one ace and Katie Gambrell added three kills and two aces.

The Lady Eagles are second in their conference.

UCA women’s golf

WOLCOTT, Colo. — The University of Central Arkansas women’s golf team finished eighth Wednesday at the Golfweek Conference Challenge played at the Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club.

UCA shot rounds of 301-295-289 to finish at 885. San Diego State won the tournament at 866, followed by Denver and Pepperdine (874), Old Dominion, Washington State and Tennessee (881), New Mexico State (884), UCA (885), Coastal Carolina (886), Campbell (887), TCU (889), UCA Davis 892), Idaho (894), Toledo (926), Missouri State (932), James Madison (938) and South Florida (941).

UCA sophomore Cindy Oh finished tied for eighth place overall with rounds of 75-71-70-216. Senior Brenda Gonzalez shot 73-76-71-220 and tied for 19th. Sophomore Emma Svensson shot 83-73-69-225 and tied for 42nd. Junior Fernada Lira shot 75-75-80-230 to tie for 61st and sophomore Sally Fridstrom tied for 75th with rounds of 78-79-79-236.

Ruth Doyle volleyball

The Ruth Doyle seventh-grade Girls Volleyball team swept games Wednesday against Ray Simon Middle School.

The A team won, 25-14, 25-19. Karsen Roach had three aces an two kills, Naomi Young had two aces and a block, Kennedi Wyrick and Brooklyn Anderson had two kills, while Madison Holloway added an ace, two kills, and eight assists.

The B team won, 25-20, 26-24. Maggie Erbach had an ace and two kills, Lauren Hill had a kill and a block, and Kennedy Smith added a kill and a block.
