Conway’s volleyball team had a tough night Thursday in North Little Rock.

After falling behind 2-0, the Lady Charging Wildcats won three straight sets to defeat Conway, 15-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-12.

Aly Brinkley led the Lady Cats in kills with 21. Aryn Blumenberg finished with 51 assists. Hailey Weber added 27 digs.

In the JV game, NLR handed Conway its first defeat, 15-25, 25-18, 20-18.

Jessica Gunnels led the Lady Cats in kills with 11. Jastyn Vickers and Matti Fairchild both added 10 digs. Karli Ferguson finished with two blocks.

CCS vs. St. Joseph volleyball

Conway Christian defeated St. Joseph, 29-27, 25-22, 25-19 Thursday to stay in second place in conference.

The Lady Eagles were led by senior Madelyn Black, who achieved a personal record of 20 kills. Seniors Katie Dather and Adriana Ferrand added 10 kills each.

For St. Joseph (9-8), Rachell Prall had six kills and 24 assists. Chloe Detton were serve leaders and Detton had 17 digs. Brianna wells had four assists and Emily Flake, two blocks.

"We had some opportunities in the first two games. We didn’t take advantage of them and then we were beat mentally," said St. Joseph coach Luke Davis. "They’re a good team."

The Lady Eagles return home Thursday for Senior Night and their Pink Out night for breast cancer awareness.

Greenbrier volleyball

Greenbrier’s volleyball team lost two matches last week to Batesville and Alma.

Batesville defeated the Lady Panthersw (10-7), 25-22, 25-12, 25-17.

Raigan Baker was perfect on 13 serves for Greenbrier. Katherine Jeane had 12 kills while Olivia Parker added 17 assists.

Batesville won the JV game, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Shelby Coats had six kills, Payton Miller five and Hollis Redden, nine assists.

Alma won, 12-25, 27-25, 28-26, 25-23.

Jaylee Engelkes had 16 kills and four blocks. Katherine Jeane had 20 kills. Parker was 22 of 22 on serves with three kills. Cirstin Lee was 17 of 17 on serves. Baker was 18 of 18 on serves.

Alma won the JV match, 25-23, 18-25, 17-15.

Kailey Hamilton had eight kills and Shelby Coats five. McKenzie Shannon was 16 of 16 on serves.
