McKinney Tire Pros and Conway Tire & Battery join forces
Effective April 30th, Robert Wilcox, long-time owner of Conway Tire & Battery and two of his employees have chosen to join the staff at McKinney Tire Pros.
When faced with a lease termination, rather than relocate, Robert Wilcox chose to reach out to Rustin Standridge, owner of McKinney Tire Pros. “Rustin and I have known each other a long time and we are good friends,” Wilcox said. “Our customers are the number one priority for both of us. When I was facing a decision about the future of my business, I decided to call Rustin and we were on the same page very quickly.”
Wilcox will join the staff at McKinney Tire Pros as a senior service executive.
In addition to Wilcox, mechanic Eric Schell and shop technician Don McElroy will make the move to the McKinney Team, as well.
“Robert is a great friend and an outstanding businessman and we are so fortunate to have him join our family,” Standridge said. “His 38-year reputation for honesty, integrity and service excellence are all a great fit for the McKinney team.”
McKinney Tire Pros has been serving area customers since 1951 and Conway Tire & Battery has been doing the same since 1980.
Wilcox, Standridge and their team now operate out of the McKinney Tire Pros location at 600 S. Harkrider in Conway.
In addition to tires, McKinney offers a full range of mechanic work, including all types of front-end, brake and suspension work, air conditioning service/repair and oil changes.
