Marion, Indiana – Avoiding elimination to Siena Heights earlier in the afternoon, Central Baptist College took on the Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan, looking to advance to the Marion Bracket Opening Round Championship Game.

CBC (34-18) got behind early and couldn't recover, falling to the Wildcats (44-14) 5-2 to get eliminated from the NAIA tournament.

Rachel Gregory started for the Mustangs.

CBC outhit the Wildcats 7-6, but couldn't a clutch hit when they needed it.

IWU took the lead in the third 2-0 and Gregory left the game in favor of Brooke Trout.

Trout kept the Wildcats off the board for the rest of the inning and the offense responded in the fourth when Bri Nunn tripled to score Kaylee St. John and cut the lead to 2-1.

IWU extended the lead in the sixth to 4-1 and tacked on another fun via a homer in the seventh to make it 5-1.

With two outs in the bottom half, Alyssa Estrada singled and scored on a double by Katie Goike to make it 5-2 before the Mustangs saw their season end on a fly ball to left field.

Gregory got the loss, throwing 2.2 innings and allowing two runs on two hits, while issuing five walks.

Trout threw 3.1 innings of relief, allowing two unearned runs on three hits with two strikeouts.

Allie St. John pitched the seventh and allowed one run on one hit with one strikeout.

CBC's season ends with 34 wins, the fifth most in a season in program history.
