Kansas City, Missouri – Central Baptist College softball player Katie Gordon was named an NAIA All-America, the NAIA National office announced Tuesday in a news release.
Gordon becomes the fifth CBC softball player to earn All-America honors from the NAIA after capturing multiple American Midwest Conference awards this season.
Gordon, who was named the Newcomer of the Year and a first-team selection by the AMC, was named to the second team by the NAIA as an infielder.
Gordon batted .425 this season with 49 runs scored, 71 hits, 14 doubles, 10 home runs, 54 RBI and 119 total bases, all totals that led the team.
She led the AMC in hits, RBI and finished second in batting average, runs scored and total bases, third in slugging, tied for fourth in home runs, fourth in steals and 10th in on-base percentage.
