Tim Horton, Vanderbilt Commodores assistant head football coach will be the keynote speaker at the 13th annual Arkansas Sportscasters/Sportswriters Hall of Fame on July 13 at the Centennial Special Events Center at Centennial Country Club at 6 p.m. in Conway.

Horton grew up in Conway and played football for the Conway Wampus Cats and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He has been an assistant college football coach at Auburn, Arkansas, Kansas State Air Force and Appalachian State.

Inductees at the 13th annual Arkansas Sportscasters/Sportswriters Hall of Fame are sportscaster Kermit Womack of KURM Radio in Rogers, sportswriter Bob Wisener of Hot Springs and lifetime achievement award to former Arkansas men’s basketball coach Eddie Sutton.

Receiving the Arkansas Sports Club member of the year award is Kimmie Cleveland, the former track and field coach at Little Rock J.A. Fair - who was inducted into the Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame in May.

Four service awards will be presented to families of Jim Herring, James Clark, Bill Sanders and Dennis Fulmer for their service to the Arkansas Sports Club.
