The Hendrix College women’s soccer team’s winning streak ended at three as Harding University topped the Warriors 3-2 in overtime at Warrior Field on Sunday afternoon. The Warriors (3-4) recorded three consecutive shutouts last week but could not overcome a hat trick by Lady Bison sophomore forward Adriana Lucar.

After a scoreless first half, Harding (2-3) took a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute when Lucar scored after a Warrior turnover. Hendrix freshman Kerry Moon tied the game in the 66th minute after a rebound of a Rebecca Rahn shot.

Lucar put the Lady Bisons back ahead in the 71st minute after an Anne Fitzgerald corner kick. Senior Hannah McGrew tied the game in the 79th minute on a free kick from yards out that went through Harding keeper Daniellel Nonaka’s hands. Lucar won the game in the 98th minute on a pass from Mirlinda Lushi.

The Lady Bison outshot the Warriors 29-15, but the shots on goal count was 13-9. Lucar took 15 shots with nine on goal. Rahn had five shots with four on goal for Hendrix.

Nonaka recorded seven saves for Harding. Hendrix keeper Megan Childress came up with nine stops.

The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host Central Baptist at 7 p.m.
