CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas  — Junior Julia Roth is tied for fourth and the University of Central Arkansas women's golf team is tied for fifth after two rounds of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Classic being played at the Corpus Christi Country Club.

Roth was the first-round leader Monday morning after shooting a 71. She followed that with a 79 for a 150 total and is tied for fourth place with UTSA's Fabiola Arriaga. Sophomore Carly Dear shot rounds of 79-76-155 and is tied for 20th, while senior Gemma Hardie (80-81-161) and freshman Malin Senneryd (78-83-161) are tied for 41st place. Freshman Danielle Campbell is tied for 60th at 83-86-169.

UTSA has a commanding lead over the field at 592, followed by host Corpus Christi (619), Lamar (621), Houston Baptist (624), UCA and Sam Houston State (627), Bradley (628), UMKC (629), Oklahoma City (632), McLennan CC (635), North Dakota State (643), Texas-Pan American (650), Stephen F. Austin (658) and Texaas A&M-Kingsville (692).

The third and final round will be played Tuesday.
