GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Hendrix College baseball team overcame a two-run deficit to defeat Southwestern University 8-6 in the regular season finale at Rockwell Field on Sunday.

With the win, the Warriors tie the program record with 22 wins, set in 2009.

Hendrix ends the regular season with a 22-18 record and 12-8 mark in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Warriors open the SCAC Tournament as the second seed from the West Division and face Rhodes College on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn.

Mark Vlaskamp went 3-for-3 and Collins Raskin was 2-for-6 with two runs scored. Newville also added two hits. Harr walked twice and scored twice and Radack and sophomore Austin Womack stole two bases each.

Sophomore Justin Mosbey (3-4) earned the win, allowing two hits and three walks with one strikeout in 3.2 innings of relief. Cody Lovas (1-1) allowed 11 hits, six earned runs and a walk in 6.2 innings of relief in the losing effort.
