The Hendrix College men’s lacrosse team lost, 8-4, to Huntingdon College at Warrior Field on Friday night.

Despite the Warriors (0-2) having an advantage in ground balls (44-31), shots (44-37) and turnovers (27-28), the Hawks (1-1) still came up with the victory.


Hendrix senior defenseman Robert McCarthy set a school record with six caused turnovers to go with seven ground balls. Cameron Millstone added nine ground balls and went 7-of-11 on faceoffs in addition to his pair of goals. Freshman keeper Joe Takacs had eight ground balls and seven saves.

Hendrix will travel to Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday to take on Piedmont College.
