DANVILLE, Ky. _ A eight-run inning in the top of the sixth, fueled by eight hits and four Centre College errors, sparked the Hendrix baseball team to a 13-6 victory Sunday over the Colonels.

Hendrix sent 12 batters to the plate in the sixth.

The Warriors (7-13, 3-6) took two of the three games in the Southern Athletic Association series against the host Colonels (8-6, 3-3).

 Brady Newville had four RBI on a pair of doubles in the sixth, including a bases loaded and clearing two-bagger that put Hendrix up 9-5.


Six different Warriors had multiple hits. Newville went 3-for-5 with five RBI and a pair of doubles. Matt Simmons had three hits, including a double, and scored three times. Ryan Ritz also had three hits and two driven in.

Daniel Imbro struck out three and allowed five hits in 6.1 innings of work for the Warriors.

Hendrix will return home for a doubleheader against Rust College beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday
