Both the University of Central Arkansas men and women have nonconference games against Arkansas State next basketball season as well as contests against Central Baptist College.

The Sugar Bears, who debut under new coach Sandra Rushing against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Nov. 9 at home, will play ASU in Jonesboro on Dec. 8. They will play CBC lat Home of Dec. 4.

Games against Southern Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe and Southern Miss highlight the nonconference road schedule.

The Bears have nonconference road games against Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Mississippi State. They will host Hendrix on Nov. 13, Arkansas State on Nov. 21 and Central Baptist on Dec. 31. They will also play Sacramento State and UT Martin in home games and will participate in an ESPN BracketBusters game on Feb. 23.

For the first time since UCA has been a Southland Conference member, league play will have women and men doubleheaders on Thursday and Saturdays.
