MAYFLOWER — Mayflower split a pair of games with Arkansas Baptist in senior high basketball action Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles picked up an 18-13 victory. They led just 18-13 at halftime before both teams pick things up in the second half.

Olivia Gray scored 17 points to lead Mayflower. Lauren Quinn added 17 for Arkansas Baptists.

Arkansas Baptist rolled to a 75-31 win in the boys game.

Ross Gray led the Eagles with seven points, while Kendall Hogue led Arkansas Baptist with 26 points.

Mayflower also won the junior girls game, taking a 41-32 decsion. Tierra Lasker scored 11 points to lead the way.


MOUNT VERNON — St. Joseph swept two basketball games Tuesday against Mount Vernon-Enola.

The Bulldogs ran their record to 11-0 with a 44-24 win.

Taylor Schrekenhofer had 10 points and three steals. 

Williams Fields added nine points and Landon Enderlin eight with five assists and three steals. Nash Nichols had four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Drake Cooper had six points and eight rebounds, and Cole Schaefer finished with five points and six rebounds. Dylan Schrekenhofer had five points.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-1) won 45-20. Meagan Briggler had nine points, Rachel Briggler eight, Abby Kordsmeier six and Kristin Briggler five.

In seventh-grade girls, Mount Vernon-Enola won 18-11. Mary Rose Seibenmorgan had five points for St. Joseph.

St. Joseph won the seventh-grade boys game 34-17. Owen Echols had nine points, Nathan Hambuchen eight and Jake Spradlin six.
