BEE BRANCH — St. Joseph teams won four junior high games Thursday against South Side.

In junior boys, the Bulldogs (12-3) won, 26-23. Owen Echols had nine points and three steals, Noah Bray had eight points and three assists. David Beck added six points and eight rebounds. Landon Bruich had five rebounds and Nathan Hambuchen four.

St. Joseph’s junior girls won, 33-25. Amber Briggler led with nine points and four steals. Brianna Covington added seven points. Rachel Prall had five points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Erin Sterka had six points. Mary Rose Siebenmorgan added four points.

In seventh-grade boys, St. Joseph won, 28-17. Triple Williams and Clayton Heathscott each had 14 points.

In seventh-grade girls, St. Joseph won 19-15,. Lindsey Witting had six points. Marley Spradlin and Lizzie Whitley added five each.


In a matchup of Conway junior high boys teams, the White bested the Blue twice Thursday night.

The White team won the ninth-grade game, 49-40 to up its record to 9-8, 2-2 in conference. Blaine Booher led with 17 points and Prentice Mullins added 13. Breylin Smith had 11.

The White won the eighth-grade game, 26-22, to remain unbeaten at 13-0.


MAYFLOWER — Mayflower defeated Hector, 42-31, in junior high girls basketball Thursday.

Tori Lasker lead the Lady Eagles in scoring with 11 points, Marissa Harper had nine points, Tristen Lasker added eight, and Emily Hampton had seven.

Mayflower lost the seventh-grade game, 33-24. Bella York led with 12 points. Makenzie Woodruff added seven points.


Vilonia’s seventh-grade girls defeated Ray Simon in two games Thursday night.

The Vilonia 7th grade girls won a couple of games against the Simon 7th grade girls on Thursday.

The Lady Eagles won the A game, 36-10. Alexis Burham led with 16 points while Aaliyah Cas and Callie Early had four each.  Grace Vanlandingham, Sydney Johnson, Ally Swaim, Kaitlyn Weaver, and Anna Kaye Kirk contributed two points each. Tori Wilbanks had five rebounds. Kenna Beaty and Alyssa Netherlain had three steals each.

Vilonia won the B game, 22-5. Ally Swaim was the leading scorer for the Lady Eagles with six points. Karli Thompson added four. Brynn Schuetter, Sydney Johnson, Marlee Hinsley, Ashlynn Koonce, and Beth Franks had two points each. Brittany Shull and Kylee Linton had three rebounds each.


Searcy defeated Greenbrier in two seventh-grade boys basketball games Thursday.

The Lions won the A game, 35-24. Spencer Sutterfield led Greenbrier with nine points. Bo Harmon had five, Grant Brown and Tanner Tilley, four each, and Kollin Jordan, two.

Searcy won the B game, 24-7. Grant Brown scored three points for the Panthers. Clayton Cullum added two and Jordan and Garrett McCollum, one.
