CABOT — Top-seeded Bentonville ended Conway High’s volleyball season Thursday with a straight-set victory in the 7A state semifinals.

The Tigers defeated the Lady Cats, 25-11, 25-17, 26-24. They trailed 24-22 in the final set before reeling off four straight points for the victory.

Conway, the second-place team from the Central Conference and a regular in the deeper rounds of the tournament, finished 23-6.

In Wednesday’s quarterfinal sweep of Mount St. Mary, Alexa Hreha had 14 kills and 16 digs for the Lady Cats.

Sara Nethercutt added 34 assists and Rachel Skinner 18 digs. Allison Weatherly had nine kills and Maddie Presley eight. Courtney Campbell had seven kills and two blocks. Bailey McKee had two aces in the first game.

Conway won, 25-13, 25-16, 25-22 for its third straight victory over the Belles this season.
