Greenbrier lost volleyball matches to Morrilton and Alma last week.

The Lady Panthers lost to Morrilton, 24-26, 11-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-17. 

Haleigh Barnard had 11, six blocks. Abbey Holley was 19 of 19 on serves. McKenzie Neumeier was perfect on serves, 24 assists and 22 digs. Hannah Porter was perfect on serves, 24 assists and seven kills. Samantha Tillman had 20 kills, 29 digs, nine blocks.

Morrilton won the junior varsity match, 16-25, 25-17, 11-15.

Makenzi Burrow was perfect on serves and 19 digs. Hayley Heacox was 10 of 11 on serves with two aces. Haley Hilliard was eight of eight on serves with two digs. Marissa Hillenbaugh added five kills, 12 digs, five blocks. Lexi Livingston was seven of seven on serves with four assists, nine digs. Savannah McNabb was seven and seven.

"The girls played a very hard-fought match," Lady Panthers coach Cindy Hartman said. "It was tough for all of the girls losing in five games. The setters did a great job getting the ball to our middles.  Sam Tillman hit 20 kills from the middle and Haleigh Barnard had 11 kills from the middle."

Against Alma, the Lady Panthers fell in three sets. Alma won 25-13, 25-13, 25-17.

Hannah Porter was perfect on serves and had 14 digs, nine assists and six kills. Haleigh Bernard finished with four kills. Abbey Holley had 15 digs, while Neumeier had 10 assists and four kills. Tillman finished with five kills and three blocks.

The Lady Panthers finished 10-12 overall and 5-7 in 5A-West Conference play, which was tied for fourth with Morrilton. The Lady Devil Dogs, though, advanced to the Class 5A state tournament due to point differential.
