CROSSETT — Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge will host its fall festival on Sept. 17. The public is invited to come and explore the refuge’s unique recreation opportunities while enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere during its annual festival.

Complete with exhibitors, music, food and fun, the festival focuses on a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities and offers hands-on activities to engage youth and families to connect with nature.

The festival will take place at the Old Beer Joint Access on Highway 82, west of the river bridge. Festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 3 p.m. The festival will showcase exhibitors such as Arkansas Canoe Club, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Southeast Arkansas Beekeepers Association, the Christian Motorcycle Association, Ouachita Waterdogs Inc. and many more.

There will be an informal duck calling contest for all ages, raffles for some great prizes and the Lifeshare Blood bus on site. The festival is free and on-site parking is available.
